Cyclect was appointed managing agent for SingTel’s telecommunications infrastructure in 2015, covering satellite stations, telecommunications exchanges and Comcentre. This marked Cyclect’s first significant entry into critical telecommunications facilities management.
Telecommunications infrastructure requires FM providers with specific technical competence: MEP systems in exchange buildings and satellite facilities must maintain continuous availability, with maintenance procedures that account for the sensitivity of co-located equipment and the operational consequences of downtime.
The SingTel infrastructure contract added a new client sector to Cyclect’s FM portfolio and established the telecommunications facilities capability that would later support the managing agent role for SingTel’s data centre portfolio.
