Cyclect was named overall winner of the WIPO IPO Enterprise Trophy at the WIPO-IPOS IP for Innovation Awards in 2017. The award is a joint programme of the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, recognising companies that have achieved outstanding growth through effective intellectual property management.
The recognition acknowledged Cyclect’s development of proprietary engineering solutions — including the FIDAS runway safety system and the oil-free Organic Rankine Cycle power generation unit — and the role of IP development in sustaining the company’s competitive position.
Winning the overall trophy, rather than a sector or category award, reflected Cyclect’s standing as a company that had used intellectual property as a genuine business asset, not simply as a legal formality.
