The Mandai Rainforest South Canopy Glider is one of Singapore’s signature adventure attractions within the Rainforest Wild Asia development at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Designed and supplied by WALLTOPIA, the attraction features a 500-metre elevated roll-glider track inspired by the flight of a hornbill, allowing visitors to glide above the rainforest canopy while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding wildlife and landscape. The attraction combines innovative ride engineering with a minimal environmental footprint by following the site’s natural terrain.
Cyclect was appointed as the Specialist Installation Contractor (SIC) for the project, responsible for the complete installation of the ride’s structural and mechanical systems. Our scope included installation engineering, project management, heavy lifting and rigging, erection of steel support columns, installation of rail tracks, cantilever and tie-back structures, precision surveying and alignment, welding, mechanical assembly, and testing support. Cyclect also developed the installation methodology, and sequential installation plans to safely execute the works within the challenging rainforest environment, ensuring the ride was installed to the stringent quality and safety standards required for an international theme park attraction.
