Cyclect established PT Batam Cyclect in 2005, creating a permanent regional base with workshop, logistics and office facilities to support marine, offshore and industrial clients in Indonesia.
1998: Move to Tuas Headquarters and Modern Workshop Facility

Cyclect completed its Tuas headquarters in 1999, consolidating workshops, R&D and logistics into a purpose-built facility that has served as the group’s operational hub for over 25 years.
1989: Dedicated Semiconductor Engineering Division Launched
Cyclect established a dedicated Semiconductor Engineering Division in the early 1990s to serve Singapore’s expanding wafer fab sector, building the cleanroom and EICA capabilities that underpin its advanced manufacturing work today.
1985: Second-Generation Leadership and Founder’s Legacy

The passing of founder Tan Ai Meng in 1985 marked the transition to second-generation leadership, which continued the company’s growth into semiconductor, facilities and energy services.
1979: Start of International Engineering Operations

Cyclect began international operations in the late 1970s, establishing engineering presence in Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, Japan and China to serve regional industrial and marine clients.
1974: Mechanical Services Capability Established

Cyclect launched a Mechanical Services unit in 1975, extending its engineering capability into structural and mechanical work for marine and industrial clients alongside its electrical services.
1973: Instrumentation Services Capability Established

Cyclect established instrumentation services in 1974 through a JV with KK Kiuchi Keisoku, laying the foundation for what is now Cyclect’s EICA engineering capability.
1972: Electrical Projects Division and the Birth of Cyclect

In 1973 Cycle & Electric became Cyclect, moved to a 100,000 sq ft facility in Liu Fang Road, and launched an Electrical Projects Division to serve Singapore’s expanding built environment.
