Cyclect established PT Batam Cyclect in Batam, Indonesia in 2005, creating a dedicated regional base combining a corporate office, manufacturing plant, logistics centre and service workshop.
Batam’s position as a free trade zone adjacent to Singapore made it a strategic location for regional industrial operations. The island had developed a substantial industrial base for marine, offshore and manufacturing activities, and Cyclect’s clients in these sectors needed engineering support that was physically closer to their Indonesian operations than a Singapore-based deployment could efficiently provide.
PT Batam Cyclect formalised what had previously been project-by-project engagement in Indonesia, giving the group a permanent operational presence and the infrastructure to support marine, offshore and industrial clients in the Riau region more effectively.
