Cyclect established instrumentation services in 1974 through a joint venture with KK Kiuchi Keisoku, a Japanese engineering firm specialising in precision measurement, process control and instrumentation for power, industrial and manufacturing applications.
The JV created Kiuchi Instrumentation, which brought KK Kiuchi’s technical knowledge into Cyclect’s service offering for Singapore’s growing petrochemical, refinery and process manufacturing clients. Instrumentation is a distinct technical discipline from electrical engineering — and at the time, it was not something most Singapore engineering contractors could properly offer.
The capability established through the Kiuchi JV became the foundation for what is now Cyclect’s EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation) service line, one of the most technically differentiated offerings in the group’s portfolio.
